LW Drain - a modular underdrain alternative to French drain
Underdrainage is critical for protecting roads and assets however, the traditional way of installing it, known as French drain, is time consuming because it requires digging up a trench, laying geotextiles, installing piping, filling with clear stone, wrap-closing the geotextile, and backfilling the trench.
Our proprietary LW Drain system is a better alternative. It has the following competitive edges:
1. It combines sediment filteration, water storage and ground re-charging functions into one unit.
2. No stones required, no geotextile laying, no piping and no backfilling necessary.
3. LW Drain is simple to install - just dig up a narrow trench and place the modular unit in it. The modules will interlock themselves.
4. LW Drain treats total suspended solids (TSS) by filtering the surface water and temporarily stores it inside the modules before being drained away.
5. LW Drain can withstand occasional H20 vehicular traffic, and can be deployed alongside access roads.
