LW OWS - a passive online plug & flow oil-water separator with auto shutoff control
Description
LW OWS is a proprietary small blueprint oil-water separator. It is a passive online plug & flow device that separates oil from water and locks oil inside the containment system while at the same time, releasing clean water at a controlled rate. The device has a built-in mechanism to shut itself off automatically when oil level reached a certain limit, so that no oil can escape the system. During a fire-fighting event, the device can separate oil from deluge and release clean water at a rate matching the firehose spray, all while keeping the oil securely contained. Our LW OWS has the following functions and distinct advantages:
1. Functions of a LW OWS:
The device works with a spill containment pit to separate oil from water, hold oil in place while allowing clean water to leave the system. The LW OWS will shutoff the flow when oil layer reaches a certain limit, and can process fire-fighting deluge during fire emergency.
2. Fully automatic operation:
Once set up, the device operates on its own without the need of human intervention. It is a plug & flow device, and does not require calibration. It is enssentially maintenance free except visual inspection once or twice a year.
3. Small in size:
The device is small and compact in size, thus, easy to install and less excavation.
4. Reliable:
The device operates on gravity principle with innovated processes. It does not reply on ultra sensitive oil probes/sensors to operate, nor through heat-susceptible and fire-prone chemical substances, therefore it can operate in all working conditions.
5. Durable:
The device is made of durable materials and can withstand corrosion, UV and extreme weather conditions.
6. Process Fire-Fighting Deluge:
The device can process fie-fighting deluge. With its built-in accelerated oil separation mechanism, it can remove oil from the deluge and release clean water at the same rate as the fire-fighting hoses.
