LW-Pit and LW-OWS combination is the best spill containment system. The system comprises a modular containment pit (LW Pit) that’s easy to install, and an auto shutoff oil-water separator (LW-OWS) that runs automatically without the need for human intervention. The modular LW Pit is easy to install, can be designed to contain 100% of the oil content as well as a 100-year storm runoff. The LW Pit is made of precast concrete and is durable, fire-resistant and leak-free.
The fully automatic LW OWS is a passive online device that is effective for separating oil from water, and releasing clean water from the system as it goes while at the same time, securely preventing oil from escaping the system.
In event of catastrophic oil spill, the LW Pit will hold the oil in place without leaking to the environment, thanks to the auto shutoff mechanism of our LW OWS.
In event of fire-fighting after explosion, the deluge will be effectively processed by the built-in air floatation mechanism of our LW OWS, so that the deluge will not displace the oil layer from the containment pit.
LW-Drain is a modular drainage system that is composed of interlocked narrow drain modules. Each module is made of a precast concrete hollow chamber for storing water, with perforated openings on all walls for accepting storm and groundwater, and wrapped with geotextile for preventing soil particles from entering the modules. LW Drain can be installed much faster and much more cost-effectively than a French drain because it eliminates the time-consuming and labor-intensive geotextile wrapping and pipe installation work in the field.
